Investment Manager to Hoist Finance

What will you do
We are looking for a results-oriented Investment Manager who wants to be part of Hoist's dynamic Investment team. In the role of Investment Manager, you will play a crucial role by ensuring the timely delivery of accurate valuation work. You will utilize your knowledge of NPL/PL markets and portfolio characteristics to create valuable insights. Your responsibilities will include:
Conducting market research
Building a deep understanding of portfolios up for sale
Presenting valuation and analysis to senior management
Reviewing portfolio performance and contributing to operational improvements via data analytics
Valuation & analysis of non-performing, performing and secured loan portfolios
Building a rapport with the local teams who have P&L responsibility for our markets to have ongoing dialogue regarding the investment pipeline and performance of the book
Managing transactions from start to finish, liasing with other Hoist functions and utilising available analytical resource in order to build an investment case
Presenting the built investment cases to the Hoist Investment Committee as well as navigating other governance steps along the way
About you
We are looking for a candidate with a strong academic background in mathematics, finance or an analytical related discipline. You have previous analytical experience in an investment, financial or data & analytics role. You should have an awareness of distressed debt as well as the industry, including Hoist Finance and their competitors. Experience in the Nordic markets, such as Sweden, Finland, Denmark, and Norway is considered an asset.
You should be proficient in the advanced use of Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, and possess technical ability in using software such as Alteryx, SQL, R, Python, or other coding languages. The ability to analyze and extract information from large datasets is crucial, along with a strong quantitative aptitude and proven analytical and modeling skills.
The ideal candidate will possess strong written and verbal communication skills, enabling effective engagement with senior stakeholders. You should be capable of working independently and feel confident in taking responsibility for your tasks. Fluency in English and Swedish is essential, and proficiency in other European languages, particularly Nordic ones, would be considered an advantage.
